3.06 So What?

Listening to complaints isn’t very fun—especially if the complaint is about you! How do you feel when your teacher complains that your homework assignment hasn’t been completed properly? When your parent/guardian complains that your room is a disaster? Or, when your friend complains that you were late for the movie and made her miss the previews?
You might not enjoy hearing these complaints, but if you handle them appropriately, everyone can benefit. Making your teacher happy by completing your assignment correctly will also earn you a higher grade. Satisfying your parent/guardian by cleaning your room may also snag you some extra privileges for the weekend. And, promising your friend that you’ll be on time for the next movie and that you’ll buy her ticket will give you both something fun to look forward to.
Employees have to deal with complaints directed toward them, their products, and their businesses all the time. They must find ways to handle the complaints appropriately to create positive outcomes for everyone involved.
